HP EliteBook 8560w Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I would like to change the actual Wi-Fi card to a Wi-Fi 6 card with a Mini-PCI Express card.

My question is, Has this laptop a whitelist? is possible to add this hardware to this list? or clean the list in order to install this wifi 6 card?

My laptop is:

Model: HP EB 8560W

Product: B2A76LA

I bought it in 2012 and with an SSD drive is running very well.

Regards.

Hi:

Yes, your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any Wi-Fi adapter other than the ones that are listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual from working.

Since you have an Elitebook, no doubt your notebook has the best dual band N Wi-Fi adapter that was available at the time.
