HP ProBook 6440b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone,

I have a HP Probook 6440b running Windows 10. It has a bluetooth module with the part# 537921-001 which is Bluetooth 2.1. Is it possible to upgrade it with HP ProBook 6475b's bluetooth module part# 655792-001 which is Bluetooth 4.0? I looked at both module's images and they look pretty much identical.. Is it going to work?

thanks in advance

Good news, I purchased the bluetooth module I mentioned above and it worked flawlessly. The interface is the same, the device manager recognized it when I booted the laptop and then installed the driver.. and all set. thanks.

Much easier just to use a wireless bluetooth dongle. Since HP does not list the module you ask about as compatible with your laptop the only way to know if it is going to work is going to be give it a try. If the interface is the same (i.e. it plugs into the bluetooth module port) then I would give it 50/50 that the motherboard and BIOS will see it.
