Hello everyone. Nice to meet you here. I would like to ask you guys something about upgrading CPU.
I have an old laptop HP 15-D005SP which bought in 2014, the CPU is Intel Core i5-3230M with Intel HD Graphics 4000 (2.6 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores). I've upgraded RAM and hard drive to SSD, for the daily usage like working and light games is good and fast. Now I'm wondering if I can upgrade it to i7-4700MQ or i7-3632QM? My concern is about socket type and TDP.
Thanks a lot.

Here is the Service Manual:
The i5-3230M was the top processor offered by HP on that model series. Other CPUs might work but it would, at best, be an Ivy Bridge dual core, not a Quad Core and there is no way to know without trying if anything else would work at all.
