Alright, so I am planning to upgrade to core 2 duo with a 2.5ghz of clock and it was very cheap so I am planning to buy it
but I dont know it will fit well to the socket and I really still dont know what CQ56-109MW Motherboard socket has, only thing comes in my mind is Socket S1G1, I still gonna think about opening my laptops motherboard since its really hard to remove it, I already damaged some few plastics while disassembling it, but Ill put the processor by myself so I don't have to go outside and pay for it.
Core 2 Duo should do fine in 2021 for browsing, lightweight gaming and for school purposes since its just a notebook and its not good for heavy tasks and gaming.
Thinking about SSD, that might be also a great idea but I gotta save more money to buy a SSD for my CQ56-109MW because it has a SATA that connects thru HDD and SSD drives.
Since Celeron 900 suffers to load 3 webpages including the youtube because its a single core processor and its old for today, I also tried using for my online class, it suffered running Zoom while having online class.

hi
https://support.hp.com/nz-en/document/c02481139
2.20 GHZ / 800MHz FSB/ 1M Cache) Intel Celeron Processor 900
check this if the manual matches.

it seems to me that not possible
If possible, consider upgrading memory
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Xp is mentioned in your message
Product: Presario CQ56-109MW Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP
replacement or error?
Do not spend too much money, this model is a bit old, you will not have much improvement possible
An SSD, could indeed be a plus, but nothing certain here
try the manual scan or search in case

Here is the Service Manual:
It has the GL40 chipset which means it is designed only for Celeron and Pentium processors, not Core 2 Duo. Core 2 Duo would likely work to some extent but would be defeatured. Speedstep likely would not work, for example and there is a chance it would not POST at all. The socket is a 478 pin grid array or PGA478. Pentium T4500 would be some improvement but not sure it would make the laptop Zoomworthy. It is dual core is the best I can say and a tick faster.
An SSD would work also to some extent. The interface is original SATA (SATA 1) so transfer speeds are not real great but it would still have much better latency than a mechanical drive and would be a bit better experience. You can find small capacity off-brand 2.5 inch SSDs for very little money and as you found out, CPUs from this era go for next to nothing as they are now obsolete.
