Hi!

I have an HP EliteBook 850 G5 which has an AMD Radeon RX 540 GPU. My question is, is it possible to switch (upgrade) the GPU to a better one? (for example AMD Radeon RX 560)

cheers

Hi,

It is not possible to upgrade the GPU as it is integrated on the motherboard (soldered) together with graphics subsystem.

It is also the max GPU in that series, so even a motherboard replacement is not possible.

I believe you do have a thunderbolt port, so you could use an external GPU.

Hope it helps,

David
