Hello again sir Paul.

thank you for another reply.

i have working hdd on my laptop. i can see the Intel sata ahci controller enabled. driver for that is version 7.8.0.1012.

actually my Kingston a400 240gb SSD is find and work when connected via usb cable in usb port. only in bios is not detecting that SSD. as i understand, the difference of my laptop to your laptop is that you had latest bios installed which mine is not yet updated since before with version f.51 dated 02/26/2008. do you mine what is your latest bios installed?  so  i can conclusion the problem maybe because i have outdated driver for my intel sata ahci controller and chipset same goes for bios  version. hence as you said you had installed the latest bios which i can say that is the thing we had difference. do you mind to tell me if there is a bios recovery backup or any something that i can reinstalled the bios?

thank you.

Noel

You're very welcome, Noel.

The BIOS of course is different for my model but it had been updated to version F.19 dated Jul 6, 2010.

There is no way to recover the BIOS that I know if in your model.

You will have to hope it works, or not do it at all and install a standard mechanical hard drive again.
