Hello! I'm looking to try and upgrade my 1366x768 laptop screen to a 1920x1080p screen, but I'm looking for some guidance and confirmation. I want to make sure I don't order the wrong parts and loose money.

From referring to the manual (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06510442) it looks like I can upgrade to a FHD panel with the spare part number L78713-001 or L78714-001. I found a replacement UWVA LCD screen with the latter number here https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/HP-Compaq/L78714-001/. Let me know if this would work with my laptop. And would I have to change the display panel cable--because I've read that sometimes you have to change a cable because the panel would not be compatible with the new screen?

Would appreciate any help I can get! Thank you so much.

@sheuropa I'm afraid you cannot replace a non fullHD screen with a Full HD screen/display as that is not recommended or supported by HP, the same could cause compatibility issues with other devices designed to work without the full HD (if that's how the device was built for you).
