Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! My 1TB SATA HDD has started generating errors and recently one entire partition's data got lost. So looking to replace it. I have two options:

1. Replace SATA 1TB with SATA 2 TB and leave OS on the PCiE SSD of 128GB

2. Replace SATA  1TB with SATA 320 GB (already have) and replace PCiE SSD with a 1-2 TB PCiE SSD.

What do you guys recommend? Also, if replacing PCiE SSD, what is the maximum version supported? I have tried looking up the motherboard specs but it appears that this motherboard (HP 84DB) is not listed anywhere!

I would choose Option #1 as the most practical one, but replace the PCIe SSD with a 500GB or 1TB unit.

Thanks for your reply. I had the second option because I already have an unused samsung 320 GB SATA SSD lying spare. But no worries, it can always go into thr ADATA case and become a superfast external HDD.

Can you plz help with the latest PCiE version SSD that is supported on this laptop?
