Hey guys,

I'm in need of an upgrade on my Laptop. 8GB of RAM isn't really working for music production so I need to purchase and install a 16GB memory card. Problem is, I don't want to ruin it's warranty. Is there any place I can take it to do that here in Dublin? A certified place, obviously. Or can I just do it at home by myself? I know it's probably an easy job but the warranty thing makes me uneasy to do it. Any thoughts?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to upgrade the memory on your computer and want to know whether there is an HP authorized service center that can do this.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Your computer supports up to 16GB of RAM and if you are comfortable you can go ahead and install the RAM on your computer. Installing the RAM will not void your warranty unless you break something.

In case if you wish to get it done at an authorized HP service center then, I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
