I own a HP Pavilion dv7-6c00 17" laptop and want to know if I can increase my memory from two 4gb sticks to two 8gb sticks?  The product number is A1L83AV.

 

The laptop has in Intel Core i5

Yes, your notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of DDR3-1333 MHz memory.
