Hello 

 

I have a HP ENVY x360 convertible 15m-dr0xxx

Product number : 5XK97UA#ABA

 

i currently have 8GB (2x4GB) Ram on it  (default configuration). i was wondering if it possible to upgrade it to 16GB (3x8GB) and if so, what do i need to know to upgrade my Memory and how do i determine what RAM will be compatible with my computer.

According to the specs your notebook has 1 x 8 GB, not 2 x 4 GB of memory.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.  They offer compatible memory.

From the memory kits offered, if you want to max it out, I recommend this kit.

If you want to add an 8 GB chip to the existing one, then I recommend this one...
