Brought a new HP laptop with only 4GB of memory. The laptop has 2 slots, so I want to upgrade it to 16GB. I know I will need to purchase 2 memory cards (8GB each), but I don't know what to buy and where to buy it from. A direct link to a vendor would be very helpfull.

Here is the Manual:
Your model has the A6-9220 processor and does not have a discrete video chip so if you read the Manual carefully yours is the dual core UMA variety and has only a single memory slot. You cannot upgrade to 16 gigs. 1 x 8 gig is the maximum and it is DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM
Pages 41-48 of the Manual lay out the procedure. You might want to open it before buying memory as the HP Manual has been known to be wrong or possible I am not reading it right. If there are 2 slots you can have 2 x 8 = 16.
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if its the info you needed.

They use the same motherboard blanks for both types of models. There are traces for a second memory slot but at the factory they do not put them on. The task mamager will show it as two slots. Also as I said it is not impossible either the Manual or I am wrong and it has 2 slots. Open it up in other words as you have to do that to add memory anyway.
