Hello, I would like to upgrade the RAM and Hard Drive on my HP Pavilion x360 m3-u003dx (ENERGY STAR).
RAM:
- What type of memory is used by the laptop?
- How many slots are there, and what is the memory slot configuration?
- What is the maximum memory and speed for each slot?
Hard Drive:
- The laptop came with a 128GB SSD installed. What is the slot configuration (are there two SSD slots or just one? Is there a slot for a standard hard drive as well)?
- What size hard drive slot does it use, and what type of connector?
- What is the maximum memory and speed compatible with the computer?

The specs of your machine is

Manual
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05087828.pdf
1. RAM: It has
8 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB |
You can add same existing RAM to slot 2 or add the following compatible RAM (will run at 1866MHz)
2. STORAGE: It has 128 GB M.2 SSD (SATA) now. It does not support dual storage option. You can
Replace existing SSD using many standard M.2 SATA SSD's around, for example

Hi Banhien - Thank you for your reply!
I have a couple follow-up questions for clarification:
RAM
1) So the second RAM also needs to be 8GB? I can't put in anything larger (like a 16GB)?
2) When you said "will run at 1866MHz" do you mean that if I put in a faster RAM (ex. 8GB DDR4 2666MHz) that it will only run at the lower 1866MHz speed? Or do you mean that the additional RAM will only work if it is the same speed as the existing RAM?
Storage:
1) Is there a maximum size storage that the computer will accept/recognize? For example, could I put in a 1TB M.2 SSD SATA drive (amazon.com/Silicon-Power-Internal-Ultrabooks-Computers/dp/B07PHJCCY3?th=1)?
