Hello everybody,
Pavilion Dv6-3035sl has originally 2 RAM blocks for 4Gb total. Max RAM available is 8GB.
Specs of original blocks are:
Memory Type: SODIMM
Capacity: 2GB
Pins: 204 Pin
Bus Type: PC-10600
Error Correction: Non-ECC
Cycle Time: 1.5ns
Cas: CL9
Data Transfer Rate: 1333Mhz
Memory Clock: 166Mhz
Rank; Rank 2
Voltage: 1.5
I bought 2 Kingston blocks of 4GB each, whose specs are:
DDR3 , 1333MHz , Non-ECC , CL9 , X8 , 1.5V , Unbuffered , SODIMM , 204-pin.
Unfortunately, it seems that my notebook isn't compatible with these RAM blocks and it restarts immediately.
Which is the problem?
Thanks

It can take up to 8 gigs, that is correct. However, the HP laptops with first gen Intel core CPUs are very, very finicky about their memory. This is the specified 4 gig module:
Memory module (DDR3 PC3-10600 1333-MHz) 4096-MB 599092-001
