HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000 (1W798AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello there,

I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion x360 14-dw1038TU or 14-dw1000 with processor (11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz); Installed RAM of 8 GB; Installed ROM of 512GB SSD.

The label on my laptop says it is - HP Pavilion x360 14-dw1038TU.

However, HP Support Assistant recently started noticing it as - HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000.

My laptop is out of warranty now.

My queries are:

1. Can I upgrade my laptop to a 2 TB SSD ROM and 16 GB RAM?

2. How many slots does my laptop have for installing extra SSD and RAM?

3. Which internal SSD and ROM will be suitable or preferable?

I'm looking forward to receiving help from you. Thanks.

Rahul

I bolded this. I am a bit surprised that you were unable to see this information.

1. you can upgrade it to a 2TB SSD  It is not a ROM, it is an M.2 module. ROM is read only memory.  The maximum installed RAM is 32 GB, so 16 GB is viable.

2. There is only a single M.2 slot available and it is being used for your current SSD. The other slot is used for the WIFI module and thus not available.

3. The SSD type is NVMe or SATA3, 2280

"However, HP Support Assistant recently started noticing it as - HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000."  That is the model series family  classification that your notebook belongs to. The new reference is likely to be because of a recent upgrade of BIOS firmware or the HP Support Assistant. Everything that applies to HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1000, including software, hardware and firmware, applies to your notebook.

The new model/product code is a nightmare for people to looking for TRUE/REAL information such as specification of a machine.  Using the old way (series), you could see a few differences even OUT SIDE the machines such as location of ports (HP Omen for example).

Regards.
