HP Pavilion 15-n012tx Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

Hi, Currently my laptop HP Pavilion 15-no12TX have 4GB RAM and 1TB HDD and it's quite slow now. So, Should I go for SSD in place of HDD  OR should I increase my RAM from 4GB to compatible (12GB/16GB).

Please help me with my query.

Hi:

I would do both for best results, but if you are making me choose one or the other, replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.

Below is the link to the service manual.

Thanks @Paul_Tikkanen , I would like to upgrade both. Could you please tell if mentioned HP pavilion model  is compatible for 16GB RAM upgradation ?

You're very welcome.

Since your notebook has an Intel Core i5-4200U processor, it will support 2 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

For a 2.5: SSD, I recommend the Crucial MX500 in a capacity that meets your needs and budget.

This is the 500 GB model.

For an 8 GB memory chip one of these:
