HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx (CTO)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just wondering, is it possible to upgrade the RAM on my computer to 32 GB (2 x 16 GB DDR4 memory)? What is the upper limit that can be supported?

I read some reports of 32 GB being possible (2 x 16GB) but wanted to double check.

What is your machine ? The following machine which is an  HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011dx only supports 16GB (2 x 8GB) max.

       https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp-compaq/spectre-x360-15-ch011dx

Your machine could be the same. Page 1 of the manual also says the series support 16GB max.

Regards.

Hi, mine is the 2018 HP Spectre 15 inch  with Vega Graphics (15t-ch000 is the model number on the bottom of my laptop):

My read says the CPU (Core i7-8705G) could support up to 32GB of memory, which would be helpful. It seems like the motherboard might be a limitation? According to HP Support Assistant, I have a system board of 83BB 60.34 and system BIOS F.31.

Would be great to be able to upgrade the system if possible even to 32 GB.

Associated reddit post of someone who is thinking of doing a similar memory upgrade but didn't comment on whether it was successful or not: https://www.reddit.com/r/spectrex360/comments/93p8i9/question_ram_compatibility_in_hp_spectre_x360_1...

The following link shows RAM upgrade for the whole series

         https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-spectre-x360-convertible-(models-15-ch...

and on page 1 of the manual

You can try 32GB at your own risk.

Just for reference, I did try and unfortunately the Crucial RAM did not work.

It should use SAME RAM as normal 15-ch0xx machines and 16GB is the max. Did you use the following pair ?
