HP ENVY Laptop - 13t-ba000 CTO

Hi!

I purchased my laptop during COVID and because of shortages I wasn't able to buy the RAM memory I wanted to which was 16GB. I am now looking to upgrade my RAM since COVID has slowed down and operations have returned to somewhat normal. I currently have 8GB 3200mHz DDR4 and the most I think my laptop can support is a 16GB 2666mHz. I was hoping to purchase a 3200mHz 16GB RAM, but I'm not sure if my computer can support it. My processor is: Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-1065G7 CPU @ 1.30GHz 1.50 GHz. I also don't know what the motherboard has to do with the RAM, but I know it does. My question is, is there a difference between 8GB 3200mHz and 16GB 2666mHz, would I be sacrificing speed for more RAM?

Note: Please inform me in Laymen's term. I'm not an IT specialist or a computer wizard. I've just spent several hours researching these things.

Thanks! 😊

HP ENVY Laptop - 13t-ba000 CTO is a CTO machine I can't find its REAL specs. Most likely you can't upgrade RAM because machine has ONBOARD RAM which is not upgradable. You have to upgrade RAM when you ordering your machine.

Regards.
