HP Recommended
Example: Pavilion 4269wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am upgrading from 4 to 8 gigs of RAM (2 cards) and would like the specific product # of the compatible 4 GB cards. Product # for my Pavilion 4269wm is X7028UA-ABA. (I have 2 4 gig Samsung cards. Product # M471B5173CBO-YKO that only have brought up the BSOD so far.)

What is the complete product name?

There should be two digits which correspond to the screen size of the notebook.

When I search with the information you have identification you have provided at this point, I find nothing. I am very experienced in researching information on HP's products and even used HP's Product Content Browser utility.

Check in the BIOS or the HP Support Assistant to find an accurate product number. Try looking on the bottom of the notebook for the ProdID.

Update:

Is your notebook a Pavilion dv7- 4269wm?

If it is then use this link to find guaranteed compatible memory modules. Your notebook accepts up to 8GB of total installed memory.
