Hey, I don't know much about laptops but I do know I need 4gb more ram. Could anyone help?

Sure. It's the most effective way to upgrade your laptop. What we need is the model number of the laptop to get started. The Pavilon 15 has a zillion different configurations. It will be a number similar to 17-cp0097er

What is your Pavilion Notebook 15  ? HP has hundreds of models/products each model/product has many Pavilion Notebook 15 machines.
