Is it possible to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 16GB for this model? If so how many ports are available?

Hi:

 

HP only has the service manual for the older 14s-fq0xxx model series with the Ryzen 4xxx processors.

 

According to chapter 1 of that manual, the model series has two memory slots and can support 2 x 8 GB of memory.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Your notebook uses DDR4-3200 memory.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:

 

Crucial 8GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA32A | Crucial UK
