I am planning to upgrade my memory. My laptop memory maximum capacity is 32gb. Currently, I have a 4gb ram installed and

I want to have a 16gb ram ,  I am wondering which option should I go either 2pcs of 8gb or 1pc of 16gb?

and which is better to have, a 2pcs ram or a 1pc ram ?

Thank you in advance.

Do you have any plan to upgrade again (say next year) ? If yes you can use 1 piece of 16GB now and add 16GB later. Otherwise use 8GB + 8GB.

You can always use existing 4GB + new 16GB, not ideal but OK

Regards.
