I bought my HP Elite Dragongly laptop (Product number: 6FW27AV) in 2020 with a 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. I'm looking to upgrade the SSD. I don't even know where to start. I want to upgrade to a 4TB one, but not sure if the laptop will be able to handle that? I'm not a very techy person, so I don't even know where to start looking. Would this work?: Amazon.com: Fikwot FX991 M.2 SSD 4TB NVMe SSD M2 2280 PCIe Gen 4x4, Read Up to 7300MB/s, Internal So...
And, how do I know which SSD to get? I see there's gen 3x4 and gen 4x4? And 3.0 and 4.0 versions? How do I know which one is compatible with my laptop?
Thank you!

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:
Maintenance and Service Guide HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC
Chapter 1 indicates that HP offered M.2 NVMe SSD's up to 2 TB in the model series, but that is just what they offered, not the maximum capacity supported.
Chapter 5 has the SSD removal and replacement procedure.
The Crucial SSD report for your notebook indicates that they sell NVMe SSDs up to 4 TB.

Your notebook's M.2 slot is only PCIe gen 3.0, so a drive such as the FX991 which advertises a maximum read speed of 7,300 MBPS would only run at approximately 4,000 MBPS from a Gen 3.0 slot.
Either of the drives you picked out should work.
There is also the Crucial drive you can look into:
I don't believe that the cost difference between a Gen 3 and Gen 4 drive is that significant anymore and you can always transfer the Gen 4 SSD to a newer model desktop or notebook PC in the future that has a PCIe Gen 4.0 slot.
