Currently, I am using HP 15-da2012TU laptop. I want to use a SSD (SATA) card with my HDD. Is it possible and supported (does a port available for ssd? ) for this laptop model ? If it is possible, do I need to Clone my Windows OS to SSD ? Is it possible to clone windows 10 without errors and compatibility issues ?
Could you please advise me to solve this issue ?

Hi,
You can install an M2 PCIe NVMe SSD of your desired brand and capacity. Something like the Samsung 970 Evo Plus would be great.
On page 47 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06691790.pdf
I woould create a bootable USB drive with the latest version of Windows on it before replacing drive.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You can then turn off the PC by holding the power button and turn on PC and repeatedly press ESC until startup menu apears. Press F9 to enter boot menu and choose the USB drive. Clean install Windows on the SSD and then transfer any personal files from the old drive. Clean the old drive and use as storage.
Hope it helps,
David
