Hello,

I have Probook 640G1 and I'd like to know in case of upgrading which kind of RAM frequency i have to use.

Actualy i have 4Gx2  PC3 12800(800Mhz) and i'd like to replace one Card of 4G  by 8G  (8  + 4=12G) and is it possible to

use Cards with different Frequency?

Thanks

Hi,

The details you need is in your laptop Manual: Page 3
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04823617

It is a DDR3L 1600-MHz PC3L-12800 dual channel memory stick you need.

It is possible to put, but if you two exact same configuration sticks is same capacity they'll work in dual channel mode to give considerable boost

Upto 16gb (two 8gb sticks in two slots) possible.

Go through Page 64 in manual regarding upgrading modules.
