Hi! I am able to replaced my envy TS 15j 720565-501 faulty  intel based motherboard to new envy 15J TS 720566-001 board intel based board. The processor, Ram, HDD, all the cables fitted on the new board and my old case. But this is the problem I am facing; if I press the power bottom, the power light is on and the system is charging the battery but the screen is dark, and the fan is quite, HDD is also quite sounds like nothing is happening in the PC. What should I do now to troubleshoot?

That replacement board should work in place of the old one. The difference is dedicated video vs. integrated but all parts you added in should work. I might try each memory module singly in both slots on the replacement board. If it still will not work I would wonder where you got the new board?

I  need your advice on how to get this problem solved. What is the minimum RAM to test the system with? if it happened to be the processor fault, how can I select the processor for aforementioned board?

Its DDR3L-1600 memory, correct? I have seen 1 gig modules of that kind of memory and 2 gigs are common and you can test it with any sized module.
