Can someone explain why cloning my internal drive, C: (boot), is failing every time?
Sorry for the ignorance but I have done this on my MAC umpteen times with no problems at all yet with this thing... fails every time. Mac has installed programs to do it, Windows does not.
I have tried several programs and none have worked. I was hopeful with Clonezilla, nope... failed. Then as a last resort tried Macrium Reflect... FAILED!
I am upgrading the factory 500Gb to a 1Tb. I had the cloning process use the entire volume rather than try to match the size and then create an additional partition - I wanted the C: drive to be the full 1Tb.
Every single time, even with trying to use a friend's copy of AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro, on boot up with the new drive installed it goes through a boot test like it doesn't recognize the drive. Then brings up the blue screen stating it failed and I could either shutdown or go to advance options... which nothing in the advanced options works/helps?!?
My only guess is the original Windows configuration is looking for a 500Gb drive and when the 1Tb is installed it throws it's hands up and says "danger danger danger" and fails to boot. So how can I get this to work without a factory reset and fresh install? I REALLY do not feel like reinstalling all of my stuff?!?!
I don't know how to get this **bleep** thing to work! Grrrrrrr

No, I used to clone HDD's/SSD's at least 10 times each year using AOMEI software and the successful rate was 100%. Now, only once or twice a year and ditto.
Sorry I have to put a question mark on your new drive. Please try to initialize it and try again.
Regards.
