Upgrading laptop HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook with Windows Vista OS to Windows 7

I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade 7 Advisor for upgrading from Vista.  Advisor recommends getting updates to following programs:

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

HP MediaSmart DVD

version 2.1.2328

Hewlett-Packard

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

HP Total Care Setup

version 1.1.2413.2876

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection

version 3.10.1.7

I am having difficulties determine what is the updated versions of these programs.  Please advise.

I believe this software supercedes the total care advisor software...suggest you uninstall the previous version first.

IMO, this software is not necessary for your PC to function correctly.

Thanks Paul for the recommendation.  I prematurely clicked resolved.  I will try them out and confirm whether it resolved my issues or not.  Would you please clarify whether Total Care Setup is part of Total Care Advisor?
