Microsoft Windows 11

Namaste All,

I have got new HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC (9EK37AV) with 16GB Memory, would like to upgrade it to 32GB.

Kindly let me know the right procedure / path to achieve this, with out voiding warranty.

In order to do that, I would need 2 x 16GB memory, but currently my both memory slots are filled with 2 x 8GB.

what should I do with these  existing 2 x 8GB, post replacing with 2 x 16GB.

Hi:

Chapter 5 of the service manual indicates that replacing the memory or upgrading the drive are customer authorized procedures.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP Pavilion Gaming 15 Laptop PC

You would only void the warranty if you broke something in the process of upgrading the memory.

Do note that if your notebook ever needs warranty service, you will have to return it to its original configuration.

Here is a compatible 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory chip for your notebook.
