HP Pavilion Power Laptop 15-cb0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I was hoping to upgrade my memory from 8gb to 16gb.  I've read online that this laptop has two memory slots but then in Hp support assist I'm told my laptop online has one memory slot? I find it strange to believe it has only one considering most machines have at least two.

Thanks,

Jasmine.

Hi Jasmine,

Your PC supports max 16GB od DDR4 2400 Mhz (2x8GB)

It has two slots and you can use memory of your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung...

This is what the system has been tested with. However HP DDR4 systems will actually support 32GB of RAM (2x16GB) which would be the actual max.

On page 1 and 40 of service manual you can see the various configurations and steps to upgrade RAM

Hope it helps,

So you're saying I could upgrade it to 32 gb of ram it's just my particular model hasn't been tested with it so there could be some risks?
