Pavilion dv7-6b82eg

So I would want to upgrade RAM on my HP Pavilion dv7-6b82eg from 8 GB to at least 24GB or 32GB. My friend says I can't do more than 16 GB since it have intel processor but I remember that when I was reading laptop specs prior to buying it that this motherbord actually support upgrading RAM even more. So I don't know which RAM to buy and how much I can install so I need help with that. Here is some info that might help:

Hi:

 

The max is 8 GB per slot, and your PC only has two slots.

 

32 GB is supported only on high end business class notebooks or mobile workstations that have 4 memory slots.

 

So, your friend is correct...16 GB is the max, but not because your PC has an Intel processor.

 

So you want to get 2 x 8 GB of PC3-10600 (1333 MHz), memory, non-ECC, unbuffered, 1.5V.

 

And you are correct...the Intel processor and chipset your notebook has does support 32 GB of memory, but your notebook doesn't have 4 memory slots.
