I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my laptops ram. I have a HP 14s-fq0000 laptop with an AMD Ryzen 3 3250U with Radeon Graphics 2.60 GHz and 4 gb of ram. I need 16gb of ram, but don't know if it's possible for this laptop. If so, how to I find a product and make sure that it will work for my laptop before spending a bunch of money? Also, where could I find information to help me properly change them out for my specific laptop?

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Yes, 2 x 8GB would be possible -as a matter of fact, Your HP 14s-Fq0000 Laptop PC (9VN14AV), according to: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06642370.pdf, and: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp-compaq/hp-14s-fq0000#memory, can be fitted with up to 2 x 16GB of DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks.
You could purchase DDR4 PC4-25600, 3200 MHz RAM, but it will down throttle to 2666 MHz.
Hope this was helpful.

- or 32GB: using compatible RAM such as: https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct20888355
Regards.
