My HP Envy has 1.8 Hz processor and I need faster processing speeds. Can I install/upgrade a new processor in my machine?

The processor your notebook has is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.
It would probably cost as much or more as buying a new notebook with a better processor already included.

What is your HP Envy x360 machine ? Normally NO, CPU is one part of System board, you have to change the whole board (if available).

You're very welcome.
Make sure you buy a notebook that has everything you are looking for.
No matter what company makes them, the processors and graphics on consumer class notebooks made in the last 5 - 6 years or so, cannot be upgraded.
