HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D119AV)

I would like to upgrade ram sticks my laptop came with 2x4gb  and is 32gb capable intel I5, I  went out and bought 2 CORSAIR vengeance SODIMM DDR4  16gb 3200 MHZ and the computer would not start with either one or both installed. I updated the bios software and still would not work. I would like to know what is compatible so I don't make the same mistake again I would like to maximize performance so 32gb preferable.

@ssolomc199,

If your notebook has an Intel Core 10th or 11th gen processor, It probably supports 2x16 GB, but to be sure, click the link below and run the wmic command for the max RAM capacity of your notebook. This command will work if you run W10 or W11, unless you freshly installed W11 25H2.

2 Steps to Check Maximum RAM Capacity of Your Computer

If 32 GB is supported, use DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.

One of major memory brands HP uses is Micron (Crucial), so you can try this memory.
