Is it an HP Notebook - 15q-dy0007au? Its specs

        https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c06294070

It has 4 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) now that means it supports 1866MHz. You may be able to install 2400MHz or 2666Mhz but it will automatically downgrade to 1866MHz. It supports 32GB (2 x 16GB) max. You can upgrade to

(a) 16GB: install 8GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM (will run at 1866MHz)

            https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k8g4sfs824a/ct15224584

(b) 32GB: install 16GB each to both slots using the following compatible RAM (will run at 1866MHz)

            https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct15224548

You can also upgrade to 8GB (2 x 4GB) but RAM sticks are cheap now, you can save your time to upgrade to 16GB or 32GB.

Regards.
