The laptop I am asking the question about starts with an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade the CPU, and if it is, is it possible to upgrade to a AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS. Another question is, what is the highest speed/largest size of ram the motherboard can handle? All responses are appreciated.

Hi:
The processor is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of the service manual that may come with a better processor.
The costs attendant to such an extensive upgrade would be as much or more than buying a new notebook with a better processor.
Your notebook's processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 2400 MHz, so any memory faster than 2400 MHz will just bridge to 2400 MHz.
