Hi
As the title said, I want to upgrade my current wireless card Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 with something new.
My model laptop is the Notebook HP - 15-ba054nl and I would like to ask you if, with this model, I can upgrade it with a new wireless card.
I searched the internet and I was wondering if these two wireless card
- Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265
- Intel Wireless-AC 9260
were 1) recommended 2) compatible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi:
Chapter 3 of the service manual has the list of supported wifi cards and I don't see any others listed that are better than what you have now, other than the 3168 AC, which is just an updated version of yours and would provide no better throughput.
Since your notebook has an AMD processor, there are only certain Intel wifi cards that will work on it, and I am not sure which ones will.
I do know that this HP wifi card and part number works on HP AMD models with the Ryzen processors...
Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro HP part # L35282-005
You can buy this card in Italy directly from HP, or search by the part number on eBay.
HP Parts Store: parti per computer HP, parti per stampanti HP e parti Compaq
I don't see any posts where someone has upgraded the wifi card on your model to a better one, so anything you try would be an experiment.
If you want to experiment with the 9260 AC, then you must buy the non-vPro version of the card.
The vPro Intel wifi cards only work in business class PC's that have Intel vPro technology.
