Hi @vnyk

The above info by @Petro_  is not correct.

Your PC supports max 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz which will run at 2133MHz (2x8GB). Most likely a 16GB stick will not work. There are two slots and at the moment you have one module of 8GB

You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung...

Example of RAM:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-15-ay513tx#MEMORYFilters

On page 52 of the service manual, you can see the steps to upgrade RAM

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06189781

You should also consider upgrading to an SSD which would be a more noticeable upgrade in everyday performance than the extra RAM.

Hope it helps,

David

Ypu have to swap the on 8gb to a 16gb since you only have one memory slot.

I would rather throw out the HDD for an SSD, way faster, quiet and energy efficient.

No need for thumbs up or other farcical deeds.

It has one module but Vnyk,  as I said before, better throw the money on  an SSD.
