Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was wondering if I could switch out the motherboard for a part 924751-601 motherboard or if it's incompatible and you cannot switch it out at all.

@Silent3

There is a list of compatible system boards on page 20 of the following manual (for all 15-bs2xx machines):

      http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257.pdf

Please note: buying new system board means buying

  (a) New motherboard,

  (b) New CPU/Processor,

  (c) New video card (if applicable),

  (d) New Windows license, because you can't re-use the old one.

All 4 (or 3) above components are on one piece of hardware called system board you can't buy just one part.

Regards.
