Pavillion - 15-cc563st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade my HP Pavillion-15-cc563st laptop's storage device to the Samsung 970 Pro M.2 SSD.  However, I cannot seem to find anything in the BIOS about this, nor is it recognized by my laptop.  I have tried contacting Amazon Support and they said after a brief hold that it is compatible with my laptop.  I will post my specs below.

I have also tried using the cmd prompts disk part and it wasn't found there or in the disk management.

On page 2 of the manual says the series does have pre-installed M.2 SATA 3 SSD options that mean Samsung NVMe SSD's won't work

Regards.

@Banhien

Thank you for your expedient response!  I have made arrangements to send back the Samsung 970 Pro and I'm going to go with the Samsung 860 Evo M.2 SATA 3 instead.  I'm just going to hate missing out on the speed of the 970.

Again, thank you so much!

I'd like to upgrade my elitebook 1040 g5 with Samsung 970 PRO. The laptop has some specifications as below:

Storage
Support for the following solid-state drives:
2-TB, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe), solid-state drive with triple level cell (TLC)
1-TB, PCIe, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC
512-GB, PCIe, NVMe, SED solid-state drive with TLC and OPAL2
256-GB, PCIe, NVMe, solid-state drive with TLC
256-GB, M.2, SATA-3, PCIe, NVMe, SED solid-state drive with TLC and OPAL2
256-GB, PCIe, NVMe, value solid-state drive
128-GB, M.2, SATA-3 solid-state drive with TLC

As M.2 seems to have SATA-3 wired, not sure if this is M.2 NVME or M.2 SATA. Can I upgrade my ssd with Samsung 970 PRO?
