One more doubt after upgrading it should i remove my old hhd will it affect the performance if i am using both at a same time?

As you suggested . I have installed samsung 970 evo plus but it is not giving full speed when I checked it's bus PCIe interface it show's 3.0×1 bec of which i am not getting full speed how to allow it to run on PCIe 3×4 to get the most of it because ssd speed got restricted becomes of this transfer mode
