I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion 15-cx0008nq hardware a bit.

I want to upgrade/change my hdd. I have an 1tb hdd 7200 and i want to ad an ssd and/or an m.2 ssd, but may noyebooks manual says:

"Single hard drive configurations (2.5-in):

2-TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm

1-TB, 7200 rpm, 9.5 mm/7.2 mm

1-TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm

M.2 solid-state drive, TLC:

256 GB, PCIe

128 GB, PCIe

128 GB, SATA-3

Dual storage configurations:

16 GB PCIe M.2 Optane solid-state drive + 1 TB (7200 rpm) hard drive

256 GB PCIe, NVMe, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive + 1 TB (7200 rpm) hard drive

128 GB SATA-3, TLC, M.2 solid-state drive + 1 TB (5400 rpm) hard drive

128 GB PCIe, NVMe, TLC, M.2, solid-state drive + 2 TB (5400 rpm)

128 GB PCIe, NVMe, TLC, M.2, solid-state drive + 1 TB (7200 rpm)"

My question is NOTHING MORE? Like 500gb ssd m.2 + 2tb ssd?

And M.2 SSD SATA AND NVME BOTH COMPATIBLE?

You can add M.2 NVMe SSD and replace 2.5" HDD to 2.5" SSD. Therefore 500MB or M.2 SSD and 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD are suitable.

 

The following link shows you guaranteed compatible products

You can use products from other vendors but please return/refund policy first.

Thanks for the response.

But my next question is: How do i know which m.2 my notebooks supports? m.2 NVMe or m.2 SATA? or both? How do i know?

Thank you very much! It worked like a charm!

I've bought an m.2 nvme ssd Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB and an 2.5 ssd Crucial MX500 2TB.

Even the OS (win10) is instaled on the m.2 nvme ssd and is like VERY FAST!
