HP Probook 470G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Everyone,

I tried to add another storage card on my HP probook. (please see the pictures attached)
I bought the 950 pro M.2 from Samsung but it seems to be imcompatible...

Do you know which card and where can I find a HP card compatible ?

Thanks

In the model you posted - HP Probook 470 G3 , M.2 2280 SATA-3 SSD with "M" & "B" key is listed to fit the slot given in Page 42 of manual.

M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with only single "M" key is not listed have a compatible slot. Are you inserting this in Wireless module slot instead?

Also are you sure of the model name is correct?

Please see the picture bellow, my slot is only  for a single "M" key..

I didn't insert this in Wireless module slot.

And on the model you can find the model name also.

Hi,

Thanks for the snap, confirming your findings.

Unfortunately I'm not able to find M.2 PCIe NVMe listed compatible in the HP part surfer website for your product number: P4P73EA#ABF

Only SSD listed compatible is 128GB/256GB solid-state drive (SSD) - M.2 SATA-3 interface, with triple-level cell (TLC) technology.

Am I missing something?

I will escalate your issue to the concerned people.

Thank you!

Regards

Hi,

No I think you do not miss something. I can just add that I bought this computer recently, maybe six month ago. That's why (maybe) they didn't refresh the manual..

I'm waiting for the response of the concerned people.

Thanks again Visruth !

You're welcome!

I'll keep an eye over this thread. HP part surfer website also list same part as the Manual.

Be patient as it is Holidays. Someone from HP would soon assist you further.

Hi. Some time has passed... But I didn't see an answer so I hope it is solved. I have the same laptop and was wondering if finally is possible to install a 960EVO/Intel 600p etc. My slot is the same in that photos.

Thank you very much and sorry!!
