Hello, I have a laptop Hp G72 120ew vy059ea # akd. I want a upgrede processor, now I have an i3 330m on the hm55 chipset. Can I insert the i7 720qm or i7 820qm processor? Thank you for your response.

No the Intel® Core™ i7-620M Processor (4M cache, 2.26 GHz, SC turbo up to 3.33 GHz) is the top processor. No Quad Cores are supported.

Thank you for help, I had to order i7 4c / 8t ;-) In the manual there is a processor I5 540m, or i5 560m will also be ok?

I used both I5 560m and i7 720qm processors, and both operate on the hm55 chipset ;-) So I leave the information for users of I7 qm works on Hp g72 and Hm55 chipset ;-) Regards
