Uppdatering av laptop

Jag har en HP Paviljong - 15-cw1008 . Kan jag på den installera en Samsung SSD 980 NVME M.2 i ett Usbschassi och koppla det till USB 3.0 ? Ser okänd disk i diskhanteraren men den kan inte Initsieras kan det bero på att den inte är formaterad ?

Hi:

If you want to install Windows on the NVMe SSD, you can do that without formatting the disk.

If you want to have the disk show up in Windows Explorer, you need to first initialize the disk.

Hej.

Jag har frågat tidigare om att byta min SSD-hårddisk 256 Gb till en Samsung SSD 500 GB. Min nuvarande SSD 256GB är SK hynix BC501 HFM256GDJTNG-8310A och den nya är en Samsung SSD 980 NVME. M2. Jag vill då klona den gamla till den nya med både operativsystem och data så att jag kan byta ut den mot den gamla. Vilket kloningsprogram kan jag använda för att göra det? Jag har  Windows 10/64 som operativsystem. Finns det något gratis kloningsprogram eller kan jag använda Samsungs Data Migration-program?

I recommend the free Macrium Reflect software which you can use to create a clone of the drive.

You want the software on the left side of the page under the Backup at Home section.

When you install a larger capacity drive and try and clone an image from a smaller drive, in the case of installing a 500 GB NVMe SSD, you will have around 240 GB of unallocated space and it is not usually easy to merge your OS partition in the unallocated space because there are usually other partitions in the way.

Macrium should allow you to have all the space useable on the new drive.
