Greetings Everyone,
I am writing to you regarding a concerning issue I am experiencing with my HP EliteBook 840 G6 laptop.
The problem lies specifically with the keyboard. While the alphabetical keys are functioning correctly, I am encountering significant difficulties with the symbol keys. For instance, when I attempt to input the question mark symbol, instead of displaying "?", it types "_". This issue persists across all symbol keys, rendering them unusable in their intended manner.
I have attempted to troubleshoot the problem by checking for driver updates and verifying the language settings, but unfortunately, these efforts have not yielded any resolution.
Please help me to fix it ... i am worried about it.

I wish we could help you on this but we here are unable to assist you in this issue.
We are just a Community Support forum staffed by part-time volunteers not affiliated with HP.
We have no access to HP Repair Services and can not help you with issues related to those. These include Repairs, Service Centers and Technician Visits
Nor are we able to contact customers via chat, email, text, or telephone.
If this device is still under warranty, for direct contact with HP, your best bet is to contact HP Customer Service to see what they will do for you:
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/customerservice
If the warranty has expired, HP does not work on out-of-warranty equipment so you will need to seek out a local computer repair facility -- but be warned: repairs are usually VERY expensive as you not only have to pay retail prices for the parts, you also have to pay for labor to do the replacements and diagnostics. In many cases. the total cost will exceed that of replacing the computer.
Since we have no index or catalog of repair facilities, you have to look for one on your own.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
