Dear Support Team,
I am reaching out to seek immediate assistance with my laptop, which is currently experiencing significant performance issues that are severely impacting my academic responsibilities. The problems include slow keyboard input, prolonged startup times, system hanging, particularly when saving files to the desktop, and a request for OneDrive access when attempting to enable the autosave feature. These issues have rendered my laptop nearly unusable, significantly hindering my ability to complete assignments and participate in online exams.
I have already been in contact with JB Hi-Fi regarding these issues, and they have generated a repair ticket with the number 9485817. However, they have advised that the resolution may involve hardware and processor repairs, potentially requiring up to a month of servicing. As a student currently in the middle of the semester, surrendering my laptop for such an extended period is not feasible. I rely on this laptop for all my academic activities, including assignments and exams, and I do not have access to an alternative device or the means to purchase a new one at this time.
Given the urgency of the situation and the critical role my laptop plays in my studies, I am seeking your guidance on how to address these performance issues without significant downtime. Are there any immediate steps I can take to mitigate these problems? Additionally, is there a possibility for expedited servicing or a temporary replacement device to ensure my academic work is not disrupted?I appreciate your understanding and prompt attention to this matter.
Your support is crucial in helping me navigate this challenging situation without compromising my academic responsibilities.Thank you for your assistance.
Warm Regards, Farzana

The performance issues you mention can all be tied to a failing drive. When you save files to the Desktop, that is just a folder on your internal drive, so if it has write issues, that can take a long time.
When you reboot, press the F2 (or Fn + F2) to get into the diagnostics screen and run the disk diagnostics.
