Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I bought a brand new usb audio device (Behringer UMC204HD), after following the installation guide step by step, I found out that the device is working, but is not detected by OS or apps.

Seems like the usb port is not supporting data on thunderbolt. The audio device is on when connected, audio input and output are working. The Behringer control pannel says no devices connected.

Connected to an other laptop is working properly.

The specs of your machine is

It does NOT have Thunderbolt port, only has (1) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port; 10 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep & Charge)  port.

Regards.

Thanks for reply. I say "thunderbolt" by mistake.

The audio device is USB 2.0 compatible, has a USB type B port, and a USB cable with one type B connector, and type A connector at the other end.

The audio device switch on when connected , so power line it's ok.

But there is no data link, the software can't detect the device.

I try the same connection with other laptop and everything works.

So I desume there is something wrong with the HP laptop USB port.
