ENVY X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The effect of using HP stylus pen to write on Acrobat Reader files in my Envy X360 is really bad.  But the effect is far much better when I used iPad or Microsoft surface to do the same writing task on PDF files.  Would it be better if I change to use a HP tilt pen?  I noticed that I can write on my Envy X360 with a Micorsoft pen but don't know the effect writing on PDF files.  Any comments?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Not all PC's support tilt pen. You can send us your product's serial number in private to check that.

Also, since Surface or iPad have a different screen, its not just the pen, its the hardware too. Does this only happen with Acrobat Reader files?

The serial no. for my envy x360 is [Personal Information Removed].  So far, I noticed the result writing on pdf files in Acrobar Reader is really bad.  The result is a bit better when writing on pdf files when using Microsoft Edge.  If it is a hardware problem, does it mean that it makes no difference if I use pens other than hp pens?  Can I update any filmware to improve the  result as the effect writing with Microsoft Surface is much better?   Thanks.

This functionality is limited to the Whiteboard and Fullscreen snip app.
