Product: HP Thunderbolt G2 Combi cable
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi there,
I'd like to know if it is possible to use the HP Thunderbolt G2 docking station without charging my laptop?
I don't see any sense in permanently keeping my battery at 99% or 100%.
Or if smart battery management with (optional) setting to only start charging when the battery falls below X% and don't charge beyond X+Y%, is available or can be made available?
Thx.

That all depends on the laptop BIOS features. My HP Spectre 13t-ap00xxnd ultrabook's BIOS does have that feature.
Yours may or may not.
